Beng Hacks: September 2006

Wow,..

So far, I've collected 77 Warcraft 3 account passwords, 56 Yahoo/Gmail/Hotmail account details, 5 credit card details (courtesy of GV!) and numerous other interesting info. I of cuz will not be using such info, cuz it's against the law. However, it goes to show how easy it is to infect and steal things from people, if the bait is delicious enough.

The latest I've seen is bundled together with ISO from BT. I downloaded Company of Heroes and Elder Scrolls Oblivion from the BT and inside the CoH exe was a bundled trojan/virus. GG!

Lately I've been experimenting on penetration testing or pentest for short. Seems like a very difficult way to gain access and then control of someone. It needs you to be in the know of the latest vulnerability of that target. Are there any automated tools? Anyway even if got automated tool, they will be outdated by the time you download, since patches and updates keep coming out. Unless you want to anyhow target of cuz. But if u wan to be specific, eg target IBM or washington.us, then it'll be alot harder.

Again I missed this year's Hack in the Box held in KL. WHEN can I go???
